Temperatures may have been soaring in the capital but at the University of Westminster's graduate fashion show, fur, over-sized puffa jackets and heavy duty fabrics were the order of the day.
The university is only one of the UK's 48 top fashion and textile colleges taking part in this year's Graduate Fashion Week - though from this performance it was clear that it is home to some of the best talent around.
The stellar work displayed by Westminster students marks them out as strong contenders to win the £20,000 prize for the student with the most outstanding collection presented later this week.
Bright young things: Caroline Roughley's circus-inspired work and Bao Ta who impressed with intricate pleats
Caroline Roughley, who opened the show for Westminster certainly grabbed the attention of those on the front row. Her circus-inspired collection of pom poms and sequined clown hats were the perfect complement to beautifully cut skirts and jackets.
Camilla Stubbs raised a smile with a collection of ski wear which included oversized fur hoods and salopettes in acid orange. The dark side: Emma Griffiths' collection featured horse hair, and Camilla Stubbs' oversized fur hoods were a highlight of her collection of ski wear.
