The Westminster course, in its great breadth of resources, has enabled me to carve my own path in fashion, both in the knowledge of the industry and on into MA education. I experienced an equal emphasis on the industry and technical skill and construction, as well as on concept and research, by the fantastically hard-working tutors, which results in a unique course.

During my time at Westminster, I learnt about all aspects of the industry, developing as a designer in the broadest sense of the word. From the technicalities of menswear design to my industry focused third year and final collection, I learnt something new with every year at Westminster.  All of which culminated and helped me take my first steps in my product design career.

The BA at Westminster got me completely set up for starting my career. The course pushes your individual creative identity, while the internships and year in the industry give you all the professional understanding you need. The fashion course at Westminster is GREAT. I developed technical skills and knowledge, side by side with creative thinking and felt extremely nurtured during the time I spent there. I explored many different avenues and processes and was supported thoroughly by the fantastic teaching staff. The facilities available to me were second to none and allowed me to really push the boundaries. The internship year allowed me to cut my teeth in the industry, and really experience what it takes to work in a fast-paced and dynamic design office.

Westminster offers studios, tutors and facilities second to none. The course very much challenges you to find your own way of design, whether your end goal is to start your own business or work within a fashion house. Being pushed creatively and technically fully prepares you to be a professional within the industry at the highest level.

Westminster is a brilliant place to study Fashion Design; you're given the freedom to be creative at the same time as learning the fundamental technical skills necessary. The tutors are really supportive, from preparing you to physically create a collection to presenting a competitive portfolio to a potential employer. The studios are big and spacious, and there is a lot of tutor interaction time. Westminster has excellent industry links and the 3rd year placement gives you a real insight into how the Industry works.
