'Dancing With Dreams' the multi-sensory new art installation by Claire Barrow



Following collaborations and exhibitions with architect Zaha Hadid and designers such as Gareth Pugh, Jeremy Scott and Vivienne Westwood, Galeria Melissa in Covent Garden is being taken over by Claire Barrow from Febraury 16th -May 15th 2017. ‘Dancing With Dreams’ is an immersive art piece integrating sculpture, performance, technology, fashion, film and music from the multi-disciplinary visual artist.

Featuring award winning actress Sameena Jabeen Ahmed who starred in the 2014 film ‘Catch Me Daddy’, dancer Harry Alexander of the Michael Clark Company, LGBT and social activist Michael Peacock and performance artist Amy Kingsmill. The musical score, commissioned by Claire is composed by Kenichi Iwasa of Xaviers and Taigen Kawabe of Bo Ningen. Taigen also provides vocals for the piece.

Claire has created five sculptures which are joined by digital projections of the six real people mentioned, performing to the sculptures. Both the sculptures and performers are wearing costumes and Melissa shoes designed by Claire.
